UKIP's Spring Conference in Milton Keynes this past Friday saw a Young Independence fringe meeting take place, with the Young Independence elections coming to a head with a new Council elected.

The successful candidates and new YI Council consists of:

Vice-Chairman - Michael McManus
Secretary - Harry Aldridge
Treasurer - Steve Fowler
Elections Co-ordinator - Christopher Cassidy
Membership Officer - Danielle Brannon
Press Officer - Darren Leckey

The competition was fierce and then standard of candidate was very high indeed. Young Independence had a very successful Conference with Michael Heaver speaking on the main Party platform on behalf of YI, and many UKIP members commenting on the fabulous turnout and growth of Young Independence.
