The economists are clear: Conservative school plans won't help the poor.

The Institute for Fiscal Studies(IFS) has concluded that Tory plans for education will not end the terrible segregation between the good schools in well-off areas of the country and the poor ones in deprived areas.

The Conservatives' six key election themes miss the mark.

No wonder the Conservatives lead in the polls is declining. Yesterday David Cameron announced the six key themes on which the Tories are going to contest the next General Election. They are: dealing with Britain's debt, boosting enterprise, make Britain more family-friendly, backing the NHS, raising standards in schools and "changing politics".

Those who want open-door immigration are the extremists.

News that a draft government policy document attributed those who have concerns about immigration as harbouring racist views is disgraceful, but hardly surprising.

Chairman's Blog

I will be posting my thoughts on this blog in the coming weeks as we edge closer to the 2010 General Election.

This is a vitally important time for our Party and our country and I am glad to see that our UKIP Leader Lord Pearson has taken it upon himself to enter the blogosphere. You can read what Lord Pearson has to say here: http://lordpearsonofrannoch-admin.blogspot.com/.
